Joe Chertudi

I was born in the Basque Country of Spain and was educated there through my undergraduate college studies. In 1972, I made the decision to move to the United States of America and studied Philosophy at the graduate level at University of Idaho. I met my wife, Elizabeth, at that point and she volunteered to type my master’s thesis on an IBM Selectric typewriter in one night, which helped clinch our relationship. I then got a second master’s degree in Business Administration at Thunderbird School of Global Management. Moving to Idaho with my wife and three sons was one of the best decisions I ever made, because we get to engage in hiking the wild terrain of what I call the “cathedral” of the mountains, observe wild life and the crystal clarity of the central Idaho rivers, and uncover the secrets of the southern Idaho deserts! I have also been involved as Director of the Basque Oral History Project for the Basque Museum & Cultural Center, and soccer referee for adult, youth and high school games and tournaments throughout the Treasure Valley for 30 years. My life has taken me to many places in the world, which has taught me different cultures and languages, including English, Spanish, Basque, and French. Echelon Group provides me with the opportunity to leverage my 40+ years of experience in finance. I enjoy my long-standing relationships with clients by taking the time to help them succeed.
